Why
are Meet & Greets required for all new Clients?
The Meet & Greet gives the opportunity for Candice and your
family to get to know one another. The visit is held at the family's
home and typically is between 30 minutes to one hour in length.
During this time, we will collect important information about the
pet(s), including personality, behavior, feeding plans, and daily
routines. The Meet & Greet allows the family to get to know
the policies and guildlines. After we have gone over your pet(s)
traits, and our policies we will complete Candice’s Comforts
contract. Last, I will collect a house key. In the case that your
dog growls or snaps at us during the Meet & Greet meeting, pet
sitter reserves all rights to ask you to make other arrangements
for yours dogs care during your absences.
How much time will you spend with my pet(s)?
Candice’s Comforts AM & PM visits last 20- 45 minutes
in length, mid-day visits are between 15-20 minutes in length. The
amount of time we spend with your loved one depends on specific
needs of your pet(s).
How do you provide home security?
We can turn on/off lights, bring in the mail/newspaper, take out
the trash, water your plants, and supervise service technicians
while your away.
How many visits do you require for my cat(s)?
Cats are self-sufficient animals. Most prefer to sleep all day,
getting up only a few hours a day for necessities. Therefore we
require only one visit per day to properly care for cats. During
this visit we will feed, scoop litter, and enjoy cuddle time together.
Will my dog(s) be walked alone or in groups?
Candice’s Comforts Pet Sitting walks only one client at a
time. In homes where there is more than one dog, all dogs will be
walked together if possible, unless otherwise requested.
What is your cancellation policy?
Candice’s Comforts Pet Sitting honors all cancellations made
more than 24 hours in advance. There is a 50% charge for cancellations
made inside of 24 hours. Full price will be charged if Candice’s
Comforts arrives at your house, but is turned away.
Can you administer medication to my pet?
Yes, Candice’s Comforts can administer any oral medication
to your pets. Please make sure to list all medications along with
what schedule they need to be giving.
Can I leave the key under the mat, or hidden outside?
Access to your home is a must in order for us to carry out your
service. We require all clients to provide a spare key at the time
of the Initial Consultation. Keys can be picked up before each service
and dropped off after, or remain in Candice’s Comforts possession
to eliminate additional fees. Client keys are kept in a fire proof
lockbox and only tagged with pets names.

Why
is it better to use a pet sitter than kenneling?
• Reduces stress- Staying in there familiar environment, and
no travel stress.
• Diet- Your pet(s) keep to there regular diet and feeding
times without causing diarrhea, or vomiting.
• Illnesses- Since the pet sitter comes to your house; there
are no other pets around that could cause a outside illness, such
as kennel cough.
• Attention- Your pets receive the personal attention they
need.
• Travel- You will not have to be inconvenienced by having
to transport your pets to the kennel.
• Home Security- Your home will look as though it is not empty,
with lights turning on/off and seeing a car in the driveway. Picking
up the newspaper and mail also leads people to believe your still
home!
